غردت منسقة الأمم المتحدة في لبنان يوانا فرونتسكا عبر حسابها على تويتر بالقول: " "نحن الآن في الشهر الخامس من الفراغ الرئاسي في لبنان"، مضيفة: " تتطلب الاستجابة للاحتياجات المتزايدة والمشروعة للشعب انتخاب رئيس للجمهورية من دون مزيد من التأخير. وعلى القادة السياسيين إعطاء الأولوية للمصلحة الوطنية في هذه اللحظة الحرجة".
